The President has called for an end to the ongoing fighting in Lasa Anood between the Somaliland and SSC forces, and for dialogue instead of gunfire.
Hassan Sheikh said that it is unfortunate that the blood of the Somali people is being shed, and that the dispute will finally be resolved as he said at the public meeting held in Mogadishu.
"Our first priority is to stop the conflict in Sool and Sanaag, stop the bloodshed and then talk," said Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
He continued to say, "We are turning the tables on all sides to find the unity of Somalia. I am sure that there will be an agreement, but we want to stop the bloodshed."
The president also announced that traditional elders were sent to the conflict, who went to the cities of Growe, Lasa Anood and Hargeisa, to find a solution that would bring together the two sides fighting there, and end the conflict in Lasa Anood. in the capital of Sool region.
"Lassanod and that area must stop the bloodshed and then talk about it. If aid was being done, it was done and it is still going on, that's all it seems, there are other hidden channels that are working for us in all directions."
Finally, he promised that the federal government of Somalia is working to ensure that the people of Lasanod cannot be forced to do something they don't want to do. come with bloodshed.”
