Bulsha:- The 22-year-old's body was discovered in a field in Kilbride over the weekend.
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mahamud Ilyas, whose body was found in Kilbride over the weekend.
It is understood the 22-year-old, who was originally from Somalia and lived in Blanchardstown, was killed elsewhere before his body was wrapped in a heavy carpet and dumped in a field beside Belgree Lane sometime before Saturday.
Gardaí say a man in his 50s was arrested in the Dublin 15 area earlier today and is currently being held for questioning at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Meanwhile, a house in the Blanchardstown area has been declared a crime scene and remains sealed off this evening to allow for an examination by the Garda Technical Bureau to take place.
Gardaí say this is an ongoing investigation and further updates will follow in due course.
