Bulsha:- The Russian government has issued a list of countries that are considered unfriendly or "enemy" countries following the invasion by Russia on October 24, 2022 and imposed a number of sanctions by various countries. The Russian government is said to have approved the list of Russia's enemy countries.
The list contains, among others, European Union countries, United States (US), United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Iceland, Norway, Monaco, San Marino, Singapore, Taiwan, Albania, Ukraine, Micronesia, Andorra, Switzerland and a number of other countries.
Although the Russian authorities did not explain the reasons for these countries being included in the list of non-friend countries, experts considered that the move was carried out in response to Western sanctions against the country led by President Vladimir Putin. As reported by The Local, Swiss English-language media, the scope and impact of the countries mentioned in the list were also not explained further.
However, every party and citizen of Russia who will have contact with the countries on the list, including business matters, must first obtain approval from the Russian government.
"All business activities and transactions of Russian companies and their citizens and of companies and citizens on the list of non-Russian countries must be subject to approval and supervision in their investments," the release said.
However, it is suspected that the list of hostile countries issued by Russia will not have much impact considering that Western countries have previously blocked and suspended many business and strategic relations with Russia.
Meanwhile, Switzerland is a country that from the beginning declared neutral on the war between Russia and Ukraine. Although Switzerland is not a European Union country, it is included in the list as an unfriendly country. This is then still a big question.
