Bulsha:- Don’t know how Simran, as a movie, will turn out, but the movie is making all the news now for all the wrong reasons. We all know what happened a few months back when editor-writer Apurva Asrani has lashed out both Kangana Ranaut and director Hansal Mehta for giving Kangana writing credits and also placing her name before his in the poster. Both the actress and the director hit back at him and called him out on his whiny ways.
However it looks like the controversies are not going to end there, and that Kangana is just not being satisfied getting the acting and writing credits for the movie. As per a report in Mid-Day, Kangana Ranaut is now dominating the editing table of Simran. There is a buzz that the three time National award winning actress is not quite with the first trailer of the movie and wanted to be on the forefront of everything about the movie. After the debacle of her last couple of movies, Kangana Ranaut is wanting to make sure that Simran doesn’t put a foot wrong and give her the hit that she yearns. So she wants to be a part of the editing process, and make some suggestions about how the movie has to be cut, if rumours have to be believed.
As expected, the marketing team of Simran are not quite happy about this since this intrusion of the actress is actually delaying the release of the movie. But the report in Mid-Day also states that Hansal Mehta has no qualms in letting Kangana be a part of the creative process, as he finds her ideas and inputs sensible. He is also under the belief that had Vishal Bhardwaj listened to Kangana’s inputs and edited Rangoon accordingly, the movie would have turned out to be a better project.
